Friends of Pine Hawk
Friends of Pine Hawk
The Friends of Pine Hawk is an Acton-based organization dedicated to fostering appreciation of indigenous cultural traditions and current initiatives and to promoting preservation of local Native American ceremonial stone landscapes and artifacts. We organize lectures, field trips, book discussions, and community service days, and share an expanding database of cultural resources related to indigenous history, folkways, and current events.
In the twenty plus years since the organization was founded, the Friends of Pine Hawk have sponsored over 150 events – lectures, walks, workdays restoring local sites, visits to museum and archaeological forms, and participation in various local Native American celebrations and ceremonies. If you wish to be added to Pinehawk-Notices list and receive emails about upcoming events and programs, please sign up HERE.
You can contact us at friends.of.pinehawk@gmail.com.
If you are interested in volunteering for any the of Alliance organizations, please send an e-mail to contact@actonhistory.org and any preferences you might have.
