The Acton Historical Alliance is an independent alliance of five Acton-based local historical organizations which seek to advance awareness, understanding, and preservation of various aspects of Acton’s history. Acton Historical Society
The Acton Historical Society is an all-volunteer 501(c)3 organization working to discover, preserve, and share the history of Acton, Massachusetts with the hope of spreading enthusiasm for and knowledge of our town.
Acton Libraries
The programs, services, and technology of the Acton Libraries promote and celebrate community and civic engagement through open and equitable access to cultural, informational, recreational, and shared resources.
Iron Work Farm
Iron Work Farm owns the 1707 Faulkner Homestead and 1732 Jones Tavern in South Acton, and offers a variety of events celebrating Acton’s history and promoting historical preservation.
Friends of Pine Hawk
The Friends of Pine Hawk organizes a variety of lectures, field trips, book discussions, and community service days which honor the Native American contributions of our region.

Acton Minutemen
The Acton Minutemen bring history to life by portraying those brave Patriots of the American Revolution from Acton who risked, and even gave, their lives on April 19th, 1775 in the cause for freedom.
Mission
The Acton Historical Alliance is an independent alliance of local historical organizations which seek to advance awareness, understanding, and preservation of various aspects of Acton’s history. The mission of the Alliance is to be a source of support to the member organizations by fostering cooperation and collaboration where appropriate, particularly in the areas of education, celebration, and publicity, while recognizing the value of the independent missions and autonomy of the member organizations.
Vision
The history of Acton extends from the distant and pre-recorded to the recent and well-documented. Currently there are several local organizations dedicated to the study and preservation of various periods of this history. The Acton Historical Alliance offers a conversational setting for these entities to share common areas of interest and overlap, to cooperatively develop methods to enhance history education, and to promote collaboration and mutual support.
